Louisa Baker Smith, her husband Joseph Smith (Head) and their family are enumerated in the 1900 Census in the Kenton District, Kent County, DE.  Also living in the household was Joseph’s brother, Fred.  Louisa was recorded as immigrated in 1883, married in 1885, and the mother of 9 children, 8 living.

In the 1910 Census, Louisa was recorded as immigrated in 1880, married for 15 years, and the mother of 12 children, 11 living.  Louisa, Joseph and their family were living in Fred’s (Head) household on Levels Road, near Warwick, Cecilton District, Cecil County, MD.  Next door neighbors and the family listed just above in the Census record was William S. Leathrum (Letheram) (Head), brother of George Leathrum.
